Markayla T. Brown is a proud graduate of Miami Central Senior High School, where she maintained a 4.0 GPA and consistently earned both Principal’s Honor Roll and Regular Honor Roll distinctions
.
A dedicated leader and performer, she spent four years as a Starlight dance team member, serving as Co-Captain, while also actively participating in Club Tacolcy. Markayla was honored as Student of the Month in September 2025 and currently holds the title of Miss Miami Central. With an outstanding 999 hours of community service, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to giving back and leading with purpose.
This fall, Markayla will attend Tuskegee University, where she is committed to majoring in Veterinary Medicine as she pursues her passion for animal care and excellence.
Makayla is the great- granddaughter of the late Thomas Leo " Coach" Albury, Jr., the grand niece of Miranda Y. Albury and Montrese Albury, and cousin of Darrius Albury-Williams.
